Ceftriaxone sodium: β- Lactam antibiotics and cephalosporins. Used for the prevention of lower respiratory tract infections, urinary and biliary tract infections caused by sensitive pathogenic bacteria, as well as abdominal infections, pelvic infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, sepsis, meningitis, and surgical infections. A single dose can treat simple gonorrhea.
