Gentamicine is one of the few thermally stable antibiotics and is therefore widely used in culture medium preparation. The independently developed broad-spectrum antibiotics in China are one of the great technological achievements since the founding of the People's Republic of China. It began development in 1967 and was successfully identified at the end of 1969, named "Gentamicin", meaning to celebrate the Ninth National Congress and the greatness of the working class.
